New Delhi , the 29th October 1966
S.O. 3385.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section (3 )(3 of section 1 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act , 1956 ( 89 of 1956 ) , the Central Govern- ment hereby appoints the 1st day of December, 1956 as the date on which the said Act shall , in relation to all classes of undertakings and all classes of goods ( except those classes of undertakings and those classes of goods in respect of which all or any of the povisions have already been brought into force ) , come into force in the whole of India except the districts of Tuensang and Mokokchung in the State of Nagaland .

S.O. 3386. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act , 1956 ( 89 of 1956 ) , read with the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3385 , dated the 29th October, 1966 , the Central Government hereby permits the continuance of the use, in the whole of India , for a period of one year from the 1st of December , 1966 of any scale of temperature which was in use immediately before that date ,
