NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 29th November 1966
S.O. 3607.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Cotton Control Order , 1955 , namely:- akes (1 ) This Order may be called the Cotton Control ( Second Amendment ) Order, 1966 .
(2) In the Cotton Control Order , 1955-
(1) in clause 6 , for the words " three months " , the words " two months " shall be substituted ;
( ii ) in sub -clause ( 3 ) of clause 13 , the following further proviso shall be added at the end , namely :-
"Provided further that where a direction for the sale of kapas to a manufacturer has been issued by the Textile Commissioner in accordance with the provisions of clause 14 -A ,it shall be lawful for such manufacturer to acquire kapas to the extent provided in such direction." ;
( iii) in clauses 14 -A and 14-B , after the word " cotton " , wherever it occurrs , the words " or kapas " shall be inserted .
