New Delhi , the 29th November 1966
S.O. 3661. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 3 ) of section 1 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act , 1956 (89 of 1956 ) and in superses- sion of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3385 , dated the 29th October 1966 , published at page 1539 in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part II- Section 3 Sub - section ( ii ) , dated the 3rd Novem- ber 1966 , the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of December , 1966 , as the date on which the said Act shall , in relationto all classes of undertakings and all classes of goods ( except thosethose classes of undertakings and those classes of goods in respect of which all or any of the provisions have already been brought into force) , come into force in the whole of India except the districts of Kohima and Mokokchung in the State of Nagaland .

S.O. 3662. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act , 1956 ( 89 of 1956 ) and in supersession of the notifi- cation of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3386 , dated the 29th October , 1966 , published at page 1539 in the Gazette of India Ex- traordinary Part II Section 3 Sub- section ( il ) , dated the 3rd November , 1966 , the Central Government hereby permits , in respect of the area referred to in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3661 , dated the 29th November , 1966 , the continuance of the use , for a period of one year from the 1st day of December , 1966 , of any scale of temperature which was in use immediately before that date in the said arça .
