New Delhi , the 3rd December 1966
G.S.R. 1848.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 3 ) of section 1 of the Police- Forces ( Restriction of Rights ) Act, 1966 , (33 of 1966 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the 3rd day of December , 1966 , as the date on which the said Act shall come into force in the Union territory of Delhi .
