THE VICE-PRESIDENT'S SECRETARIAT (RECRUITMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) RULES, 1966.

G.S.R. 1884.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Presi- dent hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Vice-President's Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service! Rules, 1966, namely: —

1. (1) These rules may be called the Vice-President's Secretariat (Recruit- ment and Conditions of Service) Second Amendment Rules, 1966.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2 In the Vice-Preaident's Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1966,— (A) In rule 2, after clause (k) the following clause shall be inserted, namely: — '(1) "Secretary" means the Secretary to the Vice-President.'; ( 901 ) 903 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PARI- 1I-SFC. 3 (I)] (B) in Schedule I, under the sub-heading "Class I Gazetted",—

(i) in the entries against Serial No. 1, the word "'Private" shall be omitted; (ii) in the entries against Serial No. 2, the word "Additional" shall be omitted.

(i) under the heading "Class III", after Serial No. 2 and the entries relat- ing thereto, the following Serial No. and entries sha'l be inserted, namely: —

"3, Personal Attendant to the Vice-President 1"; (ii) Serial Nos. 3 and 4 shall be renumbered as Serial Nos. 4 and 5 thereof respectively;

(iii) for the figure "4" against 'Total', the figure "5" shall be substituted;

(D) In Schedule III.—

(i) under the heading "Gazetted Class I",—

(a) in the entries against item 1, the word "Private" shall be omitted;

and

(b) in the entries against item 2 the word "Additional" shall be omitted; (ii) under the heading "Class III", after item 8 and the entries relating thereto the following Item and entries shall be inserted, namely :•—•

"&, Personal Attendant to the Vice-President "Rs. 110—-3—131";

(E) in Schedule IV,—

(i) in the entries against item 1, the word "Private" shall be omitted; (U) in the entries against item 2, the word "Additional" shall be omitted.
