G.S.R. 1893.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 1 of the Goa, Daman and Diu ( Opinion Poll ) Act , 1966 ( 38 of 1966 ) , the Central Government hereby appoints the 12th day of December , 1966 as the date on which the said Act shall come into force .
