NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th December 1966
S.O. 3793/IDRA/!19B/66.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 29B of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951, (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby exempts from the operation of sections 10, 11, 11A and 13 of the said Act and the rules made thereunder, all industrial undertakings pertaining to such of the industries specified in the First Schedule to the said Act as are mentioned below, namely: —
Any industry engaged in the manufacture or production of—
(i) (a) Cast iron spun pipes falling under entry '(5) Iron and steel pipes' and (b) steel ingots or billets by electric furnace falling under entry '(7) Other products of iron and steel under the heading '1, Metal- lurgical Industries: A. Ferrous';
(ii) Non-vehicular internal combustion engines below 50 H.P. (both diesel and petrol) falling under entry '(2) Internal Combustion engines' under the heading '4. Prime Movers (other than electrical genera- tors)';
(iii) (a) Electrical motors upto 50 H.P. falling under entry '(2) Electrical motors' and (b) Electric furnaces (without import of switchgear and transformer) falling under entry (5) Electrical furnaces' under the heading '5. Electrical Equipment';
(iv) Bicycles and components falling under entry '(6) Bicycles' under the heading "7. Transportation';

(vlii) Agricultural sprayers (except manual) conventional and Knapsack type with Indigenous engines) falling under entry '(2) Agricultural implements' under the heading '10. Agricultural Machinery';
(Ix) Sewing machines and components falling under entry '(5) Sewing and knitting machines' under the heading '13. Commercial, Office and Household Equipment';
(x) Weighing machines falling under entry '(3) Weighing machines' under the heading '15. Industrial instruments';
(xl) Mathematical, surveying and drawing instruments falling under the heading '17. Mathematical, Surveying and Drawing Instruments';
(xii) Mixed Fertilisers falling under entry '(3) Mixed Fertilisers' under the heading '18. Fertilisers';
(xiii) (a) Calcium carbonate, Barium carbonate. Barium chloride, Barium nitrate, Barium sulphate, Blanc Fixe, Metallic stqarates and sodium aluminate falling under entry '(1) Inorganic heavy chemicals' and (b) Activated bleaching earth and Activated carbon falling under entry '(14) Miscellaneous Chemicals' under the heading '19. Chemi- cals (Other than Fertilisers)';
(xiv) (a) Paper board or straw board falling under entry '(3) Paper board and straw board' and (b) Paper for packaging falling under entry '(4) Paper for packaging (corrugated paper, Kraft paper, paper bags, paper containers and the like)' under the heading ^4. Paper and pulp including paper products'; and
(xv) Hard-board including fibre-board, chip-board and particle-boards falling under entry '(2) Hard-board, Including fibre-board, chip-board and the like' under the heading '30. Timber Products.'
