New Delhi , the 16th December 1966
S.O. 3879 - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub - clause ( b ) of clause 2 of the Newsprint Control Order , 1962 , No. CH ( 1 ) -18 ( 1 ) / 62 , dated the 17th January , 1962 , the Government of India are hereby pleased to appoint Shri V. S. Verma , Assistant Press Registrar , Office of the Registrar of Newspapers for India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , New Delhi , to exercise the powers of the Con- troller under that Order , with effect from the 26th September , 1966 .
2. The earlier Notifications No. 8 / 26 / 62 - Imp . dated the 11th October , 1962 of the late Ministry of Commerce and Industry and of even number dated the 12th June, 1964 of the Ministry of Commerce , relating to the appointment of Shri N. C. Rastogi, Controller of Imports , New Delhi and Shri A. Datta Majumdar , Assistant Press Registrar respectively for exercising the powers of controller under the said Newsprint Order . 1962 , are hereby cancelled.
