NOTIFICATION
New Delhi - 11 , the 21st December 1966
S.O. 3953.-In pursuance of clause ( 1 ) of article 239 of the Constitution , the President hereby directs that the Lieutenant Governor of the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu shall , subject to the control of the President and until further orders , exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the Central Govern- ment under the Land Acquisition Act , 1894 ( 1 of 1894 ) in relation to the said Union territory, except such of the powers of the CerCentral Government as are exercisable under the provisos to sub - section ( 1 ) of section 55 of the said Act .
