PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 23rd December 1966
G.S.R. 1986.-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 2 ) of section 8 of the Constitution ( Seventh Amendment ) Act , 1956 , the President hereby appoints the 15th day of August , 1967 , as the date as from which the words "Madhya Pradesh " shall be inserted in sub - clause ( a ) of clause ( 1 ) of article 168 of the Constitution in pursuance of sub - section ( 2 ) of the said section 8 .

G.S.R. 1987. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 33 of the States Reorganisation Act , 1956 ( 37 of 1956 ) , the President hereby appoints the 15th day of August , 1967, as the date as from which there shall be a Legislative Council for the State of Madhya Pradesh ( referred to in the said sub -section as "the new State of Madhya Pradesh " ) .
