ORDER
New Delhi , the 31st December 1966
S.O. 4045. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 40 of the Defence of India Act , 1962 ( 51 of 1962 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by rule 57 of the Defence of India Rules , 1962 , shall , in relation to the Mizo Hills District , be exercised also by the Central Govern- ment Liaison Officer for Mizo Hills District :
Provided that in the exercise of such powers the said officer shall comply with such general or special directions as the Central Government may from time to time issue .
