S.O. 1. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints , in addition to the officers appointed by its notification No. 434 / J & K/ HP / 66 , dated the 7th December , 1966 , the officer appointed as Returning Officer for each of the Assembly Constituencies in the State of Jammu and Kashmir by its notification No. 434 / J & K / LA/ 66 , dated the 17th December , 1966 , as Assistant Returning Officer for the Parliamentary Constituency within which that Assembly Constituency is situate .
