New Delhi , the 4th January 1967
S.O. 76. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause ( xi ) of clause ( a) of section 2 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby declares the following class of commodity to be an essential commodity for the purposes of the said Act , namely : -
"Household appliances such as electric irons , heaters and the like" .
