New Delhi , the 4th January 1967
S.O. 76. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause ( xi ) of clause (a ) of section 2 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby declares the following class of commodity to be an essential com nodity for the purpose of the said Act , namely.-
" Household appliances such as electric irons . heaters and the like"
