New Delhi, the 13th January 1067
S.O. 155.—Whereas it has been decided to hold a general election for the purpose of constituting a new House of the People on the expiration of the dura- tion of the existing House:
Now, therefore in pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 14 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the President is pleased to call upon all parliamentary constituencies (other than those within the State of Kerala) to elect members in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders made thereunder.

S.O. 158.—Whereas the President of India has by Notification published in the Gazette of India, on the 13th January, 1967, called upon all parliamentary con- stituencies in the State of Andhra Pradesh to elect members to the House of the People;

(i) with respect to each of the said elections—
(a) the 20th January, 1967, as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 21st January, 1967, as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; (c) the 23rd January, 1967, as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures;
and
(d) the 1st April, 1967, aa the date before which the election shall be com-
pleted; and
(ii) with respect to the election by any parliamentary constituency specified in column 1 of the Table below, the date or dates specified against it in column 2 thereof as the date or dates on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken in the area comprised within the assembly constituency specified In column 3 against each of these dates:—

S.O 1"3.—-Whereas the President of India has by_ notification published in the Gazette of India, on the 13th January, 1967, called upon all Parliamentary Constituencies in the State of Madras to elect members to the House of the People;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby appoints—
(i) with respect to each of the said elections—
(a) the 20th January, 1987, as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 21st January, 1967, as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; (c) the 23rd January, 1967, as the last date for the withdrawal of candi-
datures; and
(d) the 1st April, 1967, as the date before which the election shall be
completed; and
(ii) With respect to the election by any Parliamentary Constituency specified in column 1 of the Table below, the date specified against it in column 2 thereof as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken, in that Constituency.

S.O. 170.—Whereas the President oi India has by notification published In the Gazette of India on the 13th January. 1967, called upon all parliamentary constituencies in the State of Uttar Pradesh to elect members to the House oi the People;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section, 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby appoints—
(i) with respect to each of the said elections—
(a) the 20th January, 1967, as the last date for making nominations; (b) the 21st January, 1967, as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; (c) the 23rd January, 1967, as the last date for the withdrawal of candi-
datures; and
(d) the 1st April, 1E67. as the date before which the election shall be
completed; and
(ii) with respect to the election by any parliamentary constituency specified in column 1 of the Table below, the dat'e(s) specified against it in column 2 thereof as the date(s) on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken in the area •comprised within the assembly constituency specified in column 3 against each •of these dates:—
