NOTIFICATION

CENTRAL EXCISES

New Delhi, the 19th January 1967

GS.R. 99—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1937 (58 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notifica- tion of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 204/60-Central Excises, dated the 31st December, 1966, namely:—

In the said Notification—

(i) for clause (b) of the proviso, the following clause shall be substituted, namely:—

"(b) the goods are sent directly from the factory of manufacture to any officer or organisation specified in the said Schedule.";

(ii) in the Schedule—

(a) in item I relating to "Delhi", after entry (4), the following entry

Committee of the Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fu"d.";

( 1 9) 2" THE GAZfiTTE "F 1NBIA EXTRAORDINARY [FAJft 11-Sw. 5 (0) (b) in item II relating to "Bihar", after entry (5), the following entry shall be insertod, namaly:— "(6) Any organisation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committee of the Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

"(8) Any organiaation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committ** of th" Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

(d) in item IV relating to "Ar"as other than those specified in Items I, II and III", after entry (4), the following entries shall be inserted, namely:—

"(5) Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal. (6) Marwari Relief Society, 227, Rablndra Saranl, Calcutta. (7) Bombay Citizens' Famine Relief Committee, Bombay. (8} Any organisation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committee of the Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

2. This Notification shall ba deemed to have come into force on the 31st December, 1966.
