SUBJECT.—IMPORT of Carbons (S. No. 46(b)/ll) during April 1966—March 1967.
No. 11-ITC(PN)/67 —Attention is invited to remark (i) against S. No. 46(b)/II in Part 'B'. Section II of the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book) for the period April 196G—March 1967.
2. On a review of the position it has been decided that remark (1) given against S, No. 4G(b)/II in Part 'B Section II of the current Red Book should be substituted by the following: —
"Quota licences will be valid for the import of-
(a) Cinema are carbons of sizes other than those mentioned below:
7 mm. x 14" Cored positive.

(b) Electrographite and natural/hard graphite grades of carbon blocks."
3. It has also been decided that the import of (1) electrographitised and natural/hard graphite grades of carbon blocks and (ii) other special carbon pro- ducts like graphite tubes, Graphite rings, carbon piles, spectrographic carbons, metal graphite carbon blocks, etc., not available indigenously may be allowed to the actual users during the current period on the recommendations of the sponsor- ing authority.
