EXCISES

New Delhi, the 19th January 1967

G.S.R. 99.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notifica- tion of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 204/66-Central Excises, dated the 31st December, 1966, namely:—

In the said Notification—

(i) for clause (b) of the proviso, the following clause shall be substituted, namely:—

"(b) the goods are sent directly from the factory of manufacture to any officer or organisation specified in the said Schedule.";

(ii) in the Schedule—

(a) in item I relating to "Delhi", after entry (4), the following entry shall be inserted namely:—

"(5) Any organisation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committee of the Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

( 1 9) 2# - THE GABETTE "F INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PA** H-Srt^ 3 $J (b) in item II relating to "Bihar", after entry (5), the following entry shall be Inserted, namely: — "(6) Any organisation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committee of the Prune Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

"(6) Any organisation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committ"" of th" Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

(d) in item IV relatlne to "Areas other than those specified in Items I, II and III", after entry (4), the following entries shall be inserted, namely:—

"(5) Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal. (6) Marwari Relief Society, 227, Rabindra Sarani, Calcutta. (7) Bombay Citizens' Famine Relief Committee, Bombay.

(8) Any organisation recognised for this purpose by the Executive Committee of the Prime Minister's Drought Relief Fund.";

2. This Notification shall be deemed to have come into force on the 31st December, 1966.
