New Delhi , the 28th January 1967
S.O. 353. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - rule ( 1) of rule 49 of the Conduct of Elections Rules , 1961 , the Election Commission hereby directs that, in the election to thethe House of the People from the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to be held in pursuance of the President's notifica- tion published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary, Part II , Section 3 ( ii ) , dated the 13th January , 1967 , the method of voting by ballot shall be followed at all the polling stations provided for the parliamentary constituency of that Union Territory .
