NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 2nd February 1967
8.0. 425. Whereas , by the Election Commission's notification No. 464/ Goa - HP/ 66, dated 13th January, 1967 , the 19th February , 1967 has been appointed as the date on which a poll shall , if necessary , be taken in the election to the House of the People from the Panjim and Marmagoa parliamentary constituencies in the Union Territory of Goa , Daman and Diu ;
And whereas it is expedient that the said poll be held simultaneously with the poll for the election to constitute a new Legislative Assembly for the said Union Territory;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 , the Election Commission hereby directs that the following amendment be made in its said notification, namely : --
In elause (d) , for the words and figures " the 19th February , 1967 , " the words and figures "the 20th March , 1987 , " shall be substituted .
