New Delhi , the 11th February 1967
G.S.R. 190. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the CustoCustoms Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts cotton bagging [falling under sub -item (1) of Item No. 2 of the Second Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act , 1934 (32 of 1934 ) ] , when exported from India , from so much of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the said Second Schedule as is in excess of the duty leviable at the rate of Rs . 200 per metric tonne .
