CUSTOMS
New Delhi , the 18th February 1967
G.S.R. 228. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , the Central Government , being satisiled that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts cut pieces of old and used jute bags falling under sub -- item ( iii ) of item No. 2 of the Second Schedule to the Indian Tariff Act , 1934 ( 32 of 1934 ) , when exported from India from so much of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the said Second Schedule as is in excess of the duty leviable at the rate of 20 per cent ad valorem :
Provided that the Assistant Collector of Customs is satisfied that such cut pieces of old and used jute bags are useless for any purpose for which jute cloth or bag is ordinarily used .
