S.O. 918.—Whereas a vacancy has occurred in the seats allotted to the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Council of States by reasons of the resignation of Shri V. C, Keshva Rao:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 147 of the Repre- sentation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission h?reby calls upon the elected members of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh to elect, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the Rules and Orders made thereunder, a person to fill the vacancy so caused before the 6th April, 1967

S.O. 919,—In pursuance of the provisions of sub-section (1) of ' section 39 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby appoints for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its, notification No. 100/AP-CS/2/67(1), dated the 16th March, 1967—

HS.O .930.—In pursuance of section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission hereby fixes the hours from 10-00 a.m. to 4-00 p.m. as the hours during which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/AP-CS/ 2/67(1), dated the 16th March. 1967.

S.O. 921.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Represen- tation of the People Act, 1951, the Election Commission, in consultation with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, hereby designates the Secretary, Andhra Pradesh State Legislature to be the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/AP-CS/2/87(l), dated the 16th March, 1S67.

S.O. 922.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election 'Commission hereby appoints the Assistant Secretary (Committees) Legislature Department to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100/AP-CS/2/67(l), dated the 16th March, 3,967 in the performance of his functions-

ERRATUM
In the Election Commission, India notification No. 434/J&K/HP/66, dated the 13th February, 1967, published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary—Part II— Section 3—Sub-section (ii), dated the 13th February, 1967 as S.O. 522, the follow- ing correction may be made: —
