NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 17th March 1967
S.O. 926- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( n ) of section 2 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation ) Act,Act , 19521 ( 74 of 1952 ) , the Central Government hereby specifles the following conditions in regard to a transferable specific delivery contract for the purchase or sale of groundnut or groundnut oil , namely:-
(1 ) The rights or liabilities under the contract or under any document of title relating thereto ( other than a rairailway receipt ) shall not be transferable.
( ii) The rights or liabilities under a railway receipt relating to the contract shall not be transferable except to the extent and in the manner speci- fled below , namely:--
( a ) The consignor may transfer the receipt by endorsement in favour of a commission agent or a dealer , as the case may be ;
(b ) The commission agent or dealer , as the case may be, may transfer the receipt by endorsement in favour of his customer.
Explanation -An endorsement by or in favour of a co - operative or commercial banking institution shall not be deemed to be a transfer for the purpose of this notification.
