NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 17th March 1967
S.O. 926. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause ( n ) of section 2 of the Forward Contracts ( Regulation ) Act , 1952 ( 74 of 1952 ) , the Central Government hereby specifles the following conditions in regard to a transferable specific delivery contract for the purchase or sale of groundnut or groundnut oil , namely:-
( i ) The rights or liabilities under the contract or under any document of title relating thereto ( other than a railway receipt ) shall not be transferable .
( ii ) The rights or liabilities under a railway receipt relating to the contract shall not be transferable except to the extent and in the manner speci- fied below , namely:-
(a) The consignor may transfer the receipt by endorsement in favour of a commission agent or a dealer , as the case may be;
(b ) The commission agent or dealer , as the case may be , may transfer the receipt by endorsement in favour of his customer .
Explanation-An endorsement by or in favour of a co - operative or commercial banking institution shall not be deemed to be a transfer for the purpose of this cotification.
