S.O 1023. In pursuance of the provisions of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is published for general information

COUNCIL OF STATES
BYE - ELECTION TO FILL CASUAL VACANCY
" In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub - section ( 2 ) of Section 53 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , I declare that Smt . Yasoda Reddy, 3-6-767, Himayatnagar , Hyderabad , has been duly elected by the elected members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly to fill the vacancy in the Council of States caused by the election of Sri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy to the House of the People .
