G.S.R. 460. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Post- Graduate Institute of Medicallical Education and Research , Chandigarh , Act , 1966 (51 of 1966 ) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules , namely:- 1. Short title and commencement .-( 1 ) These rules may be called the Post- Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research , Chandigarh , Rules , 1967 .
( 2 ) They shall come into force on the 1st day of April , 1967 .
2. Definitions. In these rules , unless the context otherwise requires:-
(a) "Act" means the Post - Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research , Chandigarh Act , 1966 ( 51 of 1966 ) ;
(b ) " Director " means the Director of the Institute ;
( c) " President " means the President of the Institute ;
(d ) " Section " means a section of the Act.
