S.O. 1121.- In pursuance of the provisions of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is pub- lished for general information : ---

Bye - Election to Fill Casual Vacancy
" In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub - section ( 2 ) of Section 53 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , I declare that Dr. M. Chenna Reddy Lalaguda , Hyderabad -17 has been duly elected by the elected members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly to fill the vacancyvacancy in the Council of States caused consequent on the resignation of Sri Vemula Chenna Kesava Rao .
