NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 1st April 1967
S.O. 1127. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Representa- tion of the People Act , 1950 ( 43 of 1950 ) , the Central Government , after con- sulting the Election Commission , hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Registration of Electors Rules , 1560 , namely :-
1. Short title - These rules may be called the Registration of Electors (Amend . ment ) Rules , 1967 .
2. Amendment of rule 31. In the Registration of Electors Rules , 1 ^ 60 , after sub - rule ( 4 ) of rule 31 , the following sub - rule shall be inserted , namely:-
" ( 4A ) The provisions of sub - rule ( 3 ) and sub - rule ( 4) shall apply in rela- tion to revision of the roll for every graduates ' or teachers ' consti- tuency under sub - section ( 2 ) ( a ) ( ii ) of section 21 of the Act as they apply in relation to the preparation of such roll subiect to the modifications that references to the 1st October and the 7th day of November in sub - rule ( 3 ) and references to the 15th October and the 25th October in sub - rule ( 4 ) shall be construed respectively as references to such dates as may be specified by the Election Com- mission in relation to each such revision. "
