IMPORT THADE CONTROL
New Delhi , the 7th April 1960
SUBJECT : Import of glazed newsprin ( S. No. 44 - V ) for publishing text books , during April September , 1960 licensing period .
No. 41 - ITC ( PN ) /60.-Attention of importers is invited to remark ( 8 ) against S. No. 44/V in Section II of the current Red Book wherein it has been mentioned that applications from Actual Users will be considered from publishers of books on the basis of their past consumption , if any , of iraported or indigenous news- print during 1958 or 1959 , supported by a certificate from a Chartered Accountant.
2. It has now been decided that applications for import of glazed newsprint from publishers and / or printers of Text Books approved for Schoo's and Universities will be considered on the basis of a certificate from the State Director of Education , certifying the essentiality of their recuirements .
3. Applications from Actual Users may be made to the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports , New Delhi to reach him not later than 15th May 1960 .
