S.O. 1274. In pursuancepursuance of the provisions of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is pub- lished for general information: -

COUNCIL OF STATES
Bye - election to fill casual vacancy
"In pursuance of Section 66 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , I declare that Rewati Kant Sinha of Village and P.O. Kalyanpur , District Shahabad , has been duly clected by the elected members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly to fill the vacancy in the Council of States caused by the reason of the election of Shri Rajendra Prasad Jain having been declared void by the Election Tribunal .
