6.0. 1548 - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 22 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , the Election Commission hereby appoints Shri Bishembernath , Under Secretary , Law Department also to assist the Returning Officer for the election to the Council of States to be held in pursuance of its notification No. 100 / J & K - CS / 1 /67 ( 1 ) , dated the 6th April, 1967 in the per- formance of his functions .

S.O. 1549.
