NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 5th May 1967
G.S.R. 660. -In pursuance of sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule 4 of the Indian Forest Ser- vice ( Recruitment ) Rules , 1966 , the Central Government , after consultation with the State Governments and the Union Public Service Commission , hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Indian Forest Service ( Initial Re- cruitment ) Regulations , 1966 , namely .---
2 ( 1 ) These regulations may be called the Indian Forest Service ( Initial Re (cruitment ) Amendment Regulations , 1967.
(2 ) They shall be deemed to have come into force with eflect from 1st July , 1966 .
3 ( 1 ) In the Indian Forest Service ( Initial Recruitment ) Regulations , 1966 , for sub clause ( IV ) of clause ( b ) of sub - regulation ( 1 ) of regulation 3 the following sub clause shall be substituted , namely.-
" ( iv ) the Chief Secretary , Himachal Pradesh / Chief Secretary , Goa , Daman & Diu/ Administrator , Andaman and Nicobar Islands / Administrator , Manıpur / Administrator , Tripura, the Chief Conservator of Forests , Himachal Pradesh / Chief Conservator of Forests , Andaman and Nico- bar Islands :
Provided that if for any reason it is not possible for representative of any Union territory to attend the meeting of the Special Selection Board the officer at ( lii ) above shall represent that Union territory " .
