S.O. 1651. In pursuance of the provisions of section 12 of the Presidential and Vice - Presidential Elections Act , 1952 ( 31 of 1952 ) , the following declaration con- taining the name of the person elected to the office of Vice - President of India is published for general information:-
DECLARATION
"In pursuance of the provision contained in section 11 of the Presidential and Vice -Presidential Elections Act , 1952 ( 31 of 1952 ) , I. S. L. Shakdher , the Returning Officer for the Vice - Presidential Election , hereby declare that Shri V. V. Giri , 4 Giri Road , Madras - 17, has been duly elected to the office of the Vice - President of India.
