SUBJECT : Import policy for the period April 1967-March , 1968 .
No. 96 - ITC (PN)/ 67 . It has been decided that applications for import licences for the undermentioned items for the period April 1967-March , 1968 , against the provisions indicated against them should be made to the licensing authorities concerned on or before the 31st October , 1967:

U. applications from Hospitals , Clinical , Pathological and Analytical laboratories and other recognis ed institutions for import of essential equipment and accessories incl ud- ing Surgical and Scientific instru- ments and specialial drugsdrugs and che- micals willIbe considered by the CCI &E in consultation with the D.G.T.D./D.G.H . S. , New Delhi against a celling . Such applica- tions are also to be submitted through the State Drugs Control Authori- ties .
Motor vehicle parts

Actual user applications from State Transport authorities and other Fleet owners owning a fleet of 25 vehicles or above, and from such co - operative societies with individual operators as members with a fleet of 25 ve- hicles or above , will be considered by the regiona 1 licensing authori- ties.

Applications for import of educationa films from sole distributors of wel known foreign producers who are not eligible to obtain licences established importers in terms of remark ( ii ) against S. No. 117 / IV in Section III of Red Book will also be considered by CCI& E , New Delhi in consultation with the Ministry of Education .

Aeroplanes & aeroplane parts, etc.
Licences will be granted to actual users , approved stockists and dis- tributors in consultation with the Director General of Civil Aviation , New Delhi . Licences will not be valid for import of the sizes of aero - tyres / covers and tubes men- tioned in appendix 30 to the Red Book . Applications should be made to C.C.I. , New Delhi .

Medical including surgical instruments , equipment and appliances and parts thereof not made mainly of rubber and not made mainly of glass.
A.U. applications from hospitals educational and technical insti- tutions etc. for import of surgical and scientific instruments will be considered by CCI & E New Delhi in consultation with the Drugs Controller of India , New Delhi .
