NOTIFICATION
New Delht, the 7th September 1967
S.O. 3204.- Whereas the Central Government has in exercle of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Forward Contracts ( Regulation) Act, 1952 (74 of 1952) directed the East IndiaIndia Jute and Hessian ExchangeExchange Limited,Limi Calcutta, to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods other than ( i ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( it ) non - transferable specific delivery contracts for a period upto and including the 7th September , 1967 in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3087 , dated the 31st August , 1967, published inin the Gazette of India , Extraordinary Part II-Section 3-Sub - section ( ii ) , dated the 31st August, 1967;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in the interest of the trade and in the public interest , it is necessary to extend the said period by a further period of seven days ;
Now , therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the East India Jute and Hessian Exchangeage Limited, Calcutta, to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods, other than ( i ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non - trans- ferable specific delivery contracts for a further period of seven days with effect on and from the 8th September , 1967.
