NOTIFICATIONS

New Delhi, the 7th October 1987

S.O. 3760.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment to the Essential Commodities (Regulation of Production and Distribution for purposes of Export) Order, 1966, published with the Notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Commerce Notification No. S.O. 1027, dated 26th March. 1966. namely:—

In the said Order.—

(i) in sub-clause (a) of clause 2, the words ", and includes any other officer authorised by the Central Government under clause 5A in relation to the powers so exercisable by him"; shall be added at the end.

(ii) after clause 5, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:—

"5A. Authorisation of other officers.—The Central Government may au- thorise any of its officers, not below the rank of an Under Secretary to the Government of India. to exercise all or any of the powers of the Director under this Order-"[No. l(l)/67-TAEP-I.] S.O. 3761.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause 5A of the Essential Commodities (Regulation of Production and Distribution for the purpose of the Export) Order, 1966, the Central Government hereby authorises Shri N. S. Vaid- yanathan, Deputy Secretary to the Govemmpnt of India. Ministry of Commerce, to exercise all the powers of the Director under the Raid Order- [No. l(l)/67-TABP-II] A. C, BANEHJEE Jt. Secy.
