NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 19th October 1967
S.O. 3767 , Whcreas the Central Government has , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Forward Contracts ( Regulation ) Act , 1952 ( 74 of 1952) directed the East India Juic and Hessian Exchange Limited , Calcutta , to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods other than ( 1 ) transferable specific delivery contracts ( ii ) non - transferable specific delivery contracts for period upto and including the 19th October , 1967 in the notification of the Govern- ment of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 3687 dated the 10th October , 1967, published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary Part II-- Section 3 - Sub- section ( ii ) dated the 10th October , 1967; a
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in the interest of the trade and in the public interest , it is necessary to extend the said period by a further period of seven days ;
Now , therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the East India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limited , Calcutta , to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods , other than ( i ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non - transfer- able specific delivery contracts for a further period of seven days with effect on and from the 20th October , 1967 .
