NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 2lst October 1967
S.O. 3773.—Whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers con ferred by section 6 of the Export (Quality Control end Inspection) Act, 1963 (22 of 1963) is of opinion that it is necessary or expedient to amend the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O- 4393, dated the 28th December, 1964, in the manner specified below for the development of the export trade of India, and has forwarded the proposal in that behalf to the Ex- port Inspection Council as required by sub-rule (2) of rule 11 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Rules, 1964;
Now, therefore, In pursuance of the said sub-rule, the Central Government hereby publishes the said proposal for the information of the public likely to be affected thereby.
2. Notice is hereby given that any person desiring to forward any objection or suggestion with respect to the said proposal may forward the same within thirty days of the date of publication of this notification to the Export Inspection Council, World Trade Centre, 14/1-B, Ezra Street (7th floor), Calcutta-1-
Proposal

S.O. 3774,—Whereas the Central Government, In exercise of the powers con- ferred by section 8 of the Export (Quality Control and Innpection) Act, 1883 (22 of 1963), proposes to recognise the Indian Standards Institution Certification Mark, namely IS: 3794-1966 in respect of "L-Twill jute bans", ther#by further amending the notification of the Government of India In the Minijtry of Com- merce No- S.O. 4394, dated the 28th December, 1064 in the manner specified be- low for the purpose of denoting that where "L-Twill jute bags" are affixed with such mark, it shall be deemed to be In conformity with the standard specifications applicable thereto under clause (c) of section 6 of the said Act;
And whereas the Central Government has forwarded the aforesaid proposal to the Export Inspection Council as required by sub-rule (2) of rule 11 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Rules, 1964;
Now, therefore, In pursuance of the said sub-rule, the Central Government hereby publishes the said proposal for the information of the public likely to be affected thereby-

Proposals

In clause (11) of the Explanation, after item (d) the following item shall be inserted, namely:—
"(e) L-Twill jute bags IS: 3794-196fl".

S O. 3775.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 <22 of 1963), the Central Government hereby makes the follpwing rules, further to amend the Export of Jute Hessian and Jute Sacking (Inspection) Rules, 1964, namely:—
1, These rules may be called the Export of Jute Hessian and Jute Sacking (In- spection) Amendment Rules, 1967-
2- In the Export of Jute Hessian and Jute Sacking (Inspection) Rules, 1964, In clause (ii) of rule 2, after sub-clause (d) the following sub-clauae shall be in- serted, namely:—
"(e) L-Twill jute bags IS: 3794-1966".
