IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT. Import of certain essential spare parts of machinery from U.S.A. sub- ject to U.S. AID Conditions .
No. 165 - ITC ( PN ) / 67 . Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 92 - ITC ( PN ) / 67 datedted the 23rd August , 1967 regarding the grant of import licences for spare parts of machinery under U.S. AID .
2. The position in this regard has been reviewed ; and it has been decided that , in eligible cases , the value of import licences will be upto 10 per cent ( instead of 7 per cent ) of the total value of spare parts imported by the applicant from U.S.A. against U.S. AID licence issued under Public Notice No. 86 - ITC ( PN ) / 66 dated 23rd June , 1966 , as amended by Public Notice No. 117 - ITC ( PN) /66 dated 10th August , 1966 .
3. It has also been decided that the items appearing in Annexure I to this Public Notice may be deemed to have been included in the list of items annexed to the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 92 - ITC ( PN ) /67 dated 23rd August, 1967 .

4. It has further been decided that the import of items listed in Annexure II to this Public Notice will be allowed to the extent of an aggregate of 3 per cent of the face value of licences issued under Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 92 - ITC ( PN ) / 67 dated 23rd August , 1967 , as amended by this Public Notice .

No. 167 - ITC ( PN ) /67.-Attention is invited to the Import Policy for Registered Exporters contained in Part ' B ' of Section III of the Import Trade Control Policy Book ( Red Book ) for the year April 1967-March 1968 , Issued under the Ministry of Commerce Public Notice No. 32 - ITC ( PN ) / 67 , dated May 1 , 1967 , as amended from time to time .
2. The following amendments may be made at the appropriate places as in- dicated below:-

The following new entry may be added after the existing entry at ( O ) :

(1) Liene may be issued to the manufacturers of poly hene bags / films to be nominated by the registered exporters . Those registered exporters who do not want to nominate but wish to cleaim the licence in their own name will be granted A. U. Licence sub- ject to (a) "No Sale Condition " , (b) that they would get the bags manufactured for the purpose of export .
(11) Import of these items will , however , be limited to the extent of one fourth of the face value of the licence against export of frozen fish and frozen frog legs .
3. The above amendment will be applicable in respect of exports made on or after the 8th June , 1966 .
