New Delhi , the 13th November 1967
G.S.R. 1786 / Ess . Com./Sugar-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commodities Act , 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers conferred on it by clause ( f ) of sub - section ( 2 ) of section 3 of the said Act shall , in respect of sugar , be exercisable also by the Chief Director , the Additional Chief Director , an Officer on Special Duty , a Direc- tor or a Deputy Director in thethe Directorate of Sugar and Vanaspati , Ministry of Food. Agriculture , Community Development and Cooperation ( Department of Food) .
