NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 20th November 1967
S.O. 4148.Whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that the con- tinued existence of the Commission of Inquiry appointed by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Home Affairs No. S.O. 2375 , dated the 12th July , 1967 [ published at pages 1235 to 1236 of the Gazette of India Part II Section 3 - Sub- section ( ii ) , dated the 12th July , 1967 ] to inquire into the dis- turbances that took place in the Central Jail , Tihar , New Delhi , on the 29th June , 1967 , is unnecessary .
Now, therefore, the Central Government , in exercise of its powers under section 7 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act , 1952 ( 60 of 1952 ) , hereby declares that the aforesaid Commission shall cease to exist on and from the 20th November , 1967 .
