NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 30th November 1967
G.S.R. 1773. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Indian Telegraph Act , 1885 ( 13 of 1885 ) the Central Government hereby makes the follow- ing rules further to amend the Indian Telegraph Rules , 1951 , namely :-
1. ( i ) These rules may be called the Indian Telegraph ( Eighth Amendment ) Rules , 1967 .
( ii ) They shall come into force on the Fifteenth day of December , 1967 .
2. In rule 434 of the Indian Telegraph Rules , 1951.-
( 1 ) In Section VII-
For the entry under the heading " ( 2 ) Temporary connection from a Departmental exchange " , the following entry shall be substituted, namely: " The rental for a departmental exchange connection given on a temporary basis shall be levled at twice the scale prescribed in Section III . In Measured Rate Systems . the number of local calls allowed free of charge during the quarter and the fees per local call for calls in exness of those allowed free of charge shall , however , be at the same scale as prescribed in Section III. "
