NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 30th November 1967
S.O. 4196.- Whereas the Central Government has , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Forward Contracts ( Regulation ) Act , 1952 (74 of 1952 ) directed the East India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limited , Calcutta to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods other than ( 1 ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non- transferable specific delivery contracts for a period up to and including the 30th November , 1967 in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce dated the 23rd November , 1967 , published in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary Part II - Section 3 - Sub - section ( il ) dated the 23rd November , 1967 ;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in the interest of the trade and in the public interest , it is necessary to extend the said period by a further period of seven days ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the said Act , the Central Government hereby directs the East India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limited , Calcutta . to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods , other than ( i ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non - transfer- able specific delivery contracts for a further period of seven days with effect on and from the 1st December , 1967 .
