S.O. 4202.- In pursuance of the provisions of section 67 of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 ( 43 of 1951 ) , the following declaration containing the name of the candidate elected to fill the vacancy in the Council of States is published for general informaion :-

Bye- Election to fill Casual Vacancy
"In pursuance of Section 53 ( 2 ) of the Representation of the People Act , 1951 , I declare that Panda Brahmananda of Gandhi Nagar , P.O. Berham- pur , District Ganjam , Orissa has been duly elected by the elected mem- bers of the Orissa Legislative Assembly to fill the vacancy in the Council of States caused by the death of Shri Mohammad Haneef .
