NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 7th December 1967
S.O. 4362. Whetens the Central Government has , in exercise of the powers conferted by section 14 of the Forward Contracts ( Regulation ) Act , 1952 174 of 1952 ) directed the East India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limited . Calcutta to suspend entering into Lorward contracts in Jute Goods other than ( i ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non -transferable specific delivery contracts for a period upto and including tho 7th December, 1967 in the notification of the Ciovernment of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.U , 4196. dated the 30th November , 1967 , published in the Gazetto of India, Extraordinary Part 11 -Section 3 - sub -section ( ii ) dated the 30th November , 1967;
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in the interest of the trade and in the public interest . ti is necessary to extend the said period by a further period of seven days ,
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by Section if of the said Act , the Central Government hereby directs the East. India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limit- ed, Calcutta to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods , other than til transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non - transferable specific delivery contracts for a further period of seven days with effect on and from the 8th December , 1967.
