RESOLUTION
New Delhi, the 21th December. 1967
No. 13(381/66/IOC.-—The Government of India have considered the Report submitted on 14th November, 1967 by the Retail Outlets. Committee set up under the Chairmanship of Shri R. R. Morarka. This Committee was set up on 9th June, 1966 to study the growth of retail outlets for the sale of motor spirit (petrol) and high speed diesel oil in the country in the past and to report on the desirability and methods of regulating future growth.
2. In considering this Report, the Government have taken particular note of the recom- mendations made by the Committee in para 7.5 of the Report to progressively improve, the utilisation of the retail outlets in (he various regions by 1972. The Government attach the highest importance to the attainment of the targets recommended by the Retail Outlets Committee.
3. The Government have decided to accept and adopt all the recommendations made by the Retail Outlets Committee with effect from the date of publication of this Resolution.
ORDER
Ordered that a copy of this Resolution be communicated to all State Governments and Union Territory Administrations, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariats and the con- cerned Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.
Ordered also that the Resolution be published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary
