SUBJECT:—Import policy for Rubber contraceptives (S. No, 41(i)(b)/V) for the period April 1967—March 1968.

No. 200-ITC(PN)/("7.—Attention is invited to remarks (i) and (ii) appearing against S No. 41(i)(b)/V, in Part C Section III to the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Hook) for the period April, 1967—March, 1968.

2. The position has been reviewed and it has been decided that the existing remarks (i) acid (ii) appearing against S. No. 41(i)(b)/V, in Part 'C Section 111 to the Import Trade Control Policy (Red Book) for the period April 1967—March 1968 may be substituted by the following:—

(i) Importers can import rubber contraceptives under any brand name so long as they conform to the standards laid down in Schedule R to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and the Rules thereunder.

(ii) Batch No., date of manufacture, and date of expiry that is the date upto which the article 'is expected to retain its quality which 'date shall not exceed (wo years from the date of manufacture, warning against heat. influence of direct sunrays Hnd mechanical damage should be shown on the label of each piece of rubber contraceptive or if the contraceptives are imported in individual consumer packs, such information is given on the consumer pack.
