ORDER
New Delhi , the 28th December 1967
S. O. 4660. In excrcise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Essential Commo- dities Act . 1955 ( 10 of 1955 ) , the Central Government hereby directs : that the powers con- ferred on it by section 3 of the said Act shall , in relation to all essential commodities other than foodstuffs and fertilisers ( whether inorganic , organic or mixed ) , be exercisable also by the Commissioner Civil Supplies , Deputy Commissioner Civil Supplies and Assistant Commissioner Civil Supplies , of the Ministry of Commerce under the Central Government subject to the following conditions , namely:-
( i ) no order will be passed by them in the exercise of the power so delegated which is inconsistent with any order on the subject already made and in force ; and ( il) no order will be made by them without the previous consultation with the Central Government .
