NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 28th December , 1967
S. O. 4661. Whereas the Central Government has , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Forward Contracts ( Regulation ) Act , 1952 (74 of 1952 ) directed the East India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limited , Calcutta to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods other than ( i ) transferable specific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non- transferable specific delivery contracts for a period upto and including the 28th December . 1967 in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 4583 dated the 21st December , 1967 , published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part II -Section 3 - sub- section ( ii ) dated the 21st December , 1967 .
And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that in the interest of the trade and in the public interest , it is necessary to extend the said period by a further period of three days ;
Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the said Act , the Central Government hereby directs the East India Jute and Hessian Exchange Limited, Calcutta to suspend entering into forward contracts in jute goods , other than ( i ) trans- ferable specificecific delivery contracts and ( ii ) non - transferable specific delivery contracts for a further period of three days with effect on and from the 29th December , 1967 .
